Mechanical Assist high density systems are the ideal solution for storing heavier items, or materials that need to be accessed frequently by many people. This high density system allows you to move up to 10,000 pounds by simply turning an ergonomically designed, three-spoke rotating handle.

Any type of shelving or units can be mounted on mobile carriages including 4 post, case-type, and cantilever shelving. We can even re-use your existing shelving and cabinets for a more economical option!

Similar to the powered high density storage system, mechanical assist mobile shelving complies with all ADA accessibility requirements, and is available with a variety of safety options.

To ensure user safety, unwanted movement in a mechanical assist system can be prevented by a standard safety lock control that has a bright visual indicator showing lock status. For additional safety, optional automatic locks are available which help prevent the system from closing an occupied aisle. Mechanical assist systems can also be equipped with a carriage safety sweep brake. This brake will stop all movement of the system as soon as the safety sweep comes in contact with an object.

For sensitive information such as client files or medical records, or important items that need to be secured, mechanical assist high density storage systems allow you to fully control access. Protect your items and prevent unauthorized access to any or all aisles with optional hub locks. These locks allow individual carriages, or the entire system to be key-locked in closed aisle position.
